Halloween Party 2024
Thanks to all who came to Sunday's Halloween Party at the Dog Park. The dogs had a blast! We had some new people come out to use the Park - thanks for coming! We gave away a Homes Alive gift basket. A great time was had by all as we had coffee and hot chocolate, donuts, cookies, chips and candy, and of course milk bones for our furry friends.

Thank you to Dana Bradley, Royal LePage, for her donation of the dog poop bag dispenser and bags for the Horizon Community League Dog Park. Many have commented that the park is clean for the number of dogs actively using this space. Thanks to each and every community member who pick up after their dog, and thanks Dana, for supporting our efforts to keep the park clean and safe.
Our Dog Park
The Horizon Community League's temporary Dog Park was opened in June 2024 and is a community led project for the enjoyment of neighbors in Summerside, Fields of Summerside, Walker, Aurora, Sunset Valley, the Orchards and our nearby neighbors.
The agreement for the temporary dog park was extended by the City of Edmonton allowing the Horizon Community League to keep the fencing up to April 30, 2025. Community volunteers and Dog Ambassadors will keep the gate accessible through winter. Park users need to keep the park clean for the enjoyment of all.
