Summerside Community Clean-Up
Its that time of the year again! Join Summerside Business Network and Horizon Community League on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 1 - 3 pm. for our annual community clean-up!
If everyone can pitch in and help we will have all of Lake Summerside done in just a few hours.
There are designated starting points - choose a location near your home. Bring yourself, your family. Volunteers can click to view the meetup locations.
Can't make the event? Missed it? It's always a good time to clean up the neighbourhood! Pick a location that needs some TLC, and help make our community sparkle.

Paint a Pot and Plant a Tropical Workshop for youth aged 12 - 18 years.

Registration Cut-Off Date: May 21, 2024
Cost to Participant: HCL is covering $5 of the fee per participant, reducing the fee to $21 / youth.
Complete Body Yoga: Spring 2024
Hosted by the Ellerslie, Knottwood and Horizon Community Leagues
Thursday evenings, April 25 to June 27, 2024 (10 weeks)
7 to 8 pm
Knottwood Community Centre, 449 Knottwood Rd West, NW, Edmonton
Join us for this popular class taught by Navdeep and hosted by the Ellerslie, Knottwood & Horizon Community Leagues!
Suitable for all bodies and experience levels (including beginners), this high-quality hatha and vinayasa flow-style yoga class will focus on reducing stress/anxiety, building body strength, immunity and flexibility.
Benefits also include improved balance and alignment, full body stimulation, weight loss and more.
Cost:
CL members: $50 for 10 wk class ($5/class)
Non-members: $70 for 10 wk class ($7/class)

Drop-in rates: $6 for CL members and $8 for non-members. Cash only – to be paid to the instructor at the beginning of class.
PLEASE NOTE: All attendees must complete the yoga waiver form here.

Youth Basketball
Do you have a son or daughter between the ages of 12 - 16 that loves basketball? Sign them up to play recreational basketball on Mondays Father Michael Mireau School.
Dates: Mondays from April 15 - May 27 (*No program on May 20th)
Time: 7 - 8 pm
Location: Father Michael Mireau Catholic School (3010 Spence Wynd SW)
Ages: Youth(12 - 16 years old)
Cost: FREE!
Players will learn basic skills and then be divided in teams for fun scrimmage games. You must add your child to your Horizon Community Account as a family member before you can register your child. You will be asked to select their name as a participant. Registration for each child (if you have more than one attending) will happen separately.
We look forward to seeing them on the court!
